How we give back

We are passionate about keeping embroidery alive for future generations and supporting the talented artisans and dedicated technicians involved in their care.

To do this, where possible, we donate a percentage of the proceeds of the sale of our kits to the castle, country house, or institution that the original embroidery belongs to.

With this donation, we specifically support the care and safe-housing of the historic embroidery, as well as the training of staff involved in its upkeep.

Still waiting to start

Inspired by Harriet to buy this kit, can’t wait, but need to finish the parrot first, delayed by painful hands!

I'm loving this piece of crewel embroidery. I chose it because it has so many stitches that I have not done. I also purchased the Rowan Tree Kit video class and have enjoyed learning from Phillipa's excellent instruction. I'm also enjoying the larger size of the piece. Thank you so much!

Fantastic kit and video

Experienced embroiderer starting crewel as eyesight problematic for finer scale work now. Really like quantity and quality of threads, ability to get more if overuse, encouragement to adapt a little to make unique. Particularly like soft shading overstitch technique as able to concentrate on length and angle of stitches in a relaxed way as know can correct density later. Love the relief effect of the stitching. Only problem design not printed on straight grain so cannot use slate frame (already own one); cling film seems to be working in hoop, will see when block when finished. I will get another Crewel Work Company kit in future.

Everything arrived beautifully packed and I have completed about a quarter of it - I am loving stitching - the instructions are clear, the materials are gorgeous and I will be ordering again when my Rowan is complete! A complete joy - I am so delighted to have discovered you!
