Gawthorpe Pomegranate Kit

by Phillipa Turnbull

Honour the legacy of embroiderer Rachel Kay Shuttleworth with the Gawthorpe Pomegranate Kit. Replicated from a vibrant panel stitched by Rachel in the early-20th Century, this design features oversized fruits and floral features, symbolising abundance and fertility, in a rich, 'Jacobean' colour way.

Supporting the Gawthorpe Hall Textile Collection, this kit is perfect for those seeking a crewel-fix!

How we give back

We are passionate about keeping embroidery alive for future generations and supporting the talented artisans and dedicated technicians involved in their care.

To do this, where possible, we donate a percentage of the proceeds of the sale of our kits to the castle, country house, or institution that the original embroidery belongs to.

With this donation, we specifically support the care and safe-housing of the historic embroidery, as well as the training of staff involved in its upkeep.

Gawthorpe pomegranate kit

Just started this and I'm looking forward. Following the video as well so that I get every stitch as exact as I can (this time, I've completed the Jacobean fantasy really badly- but it was my first one! Hoping to buy a seconds.)

I haven’t been able to do any stitching on the piece, but the materials and instructions seem very complete and easy to understand. I am looking forward to it someday.

Excellent kit.

This kit is excellent. Everything is very nicely packaged. Opening the kit is a pleasure as you take out the linen it is fantastic quality. Appletons wool all neatly organised on a strip or two in order, saves hassle. Then the intructions so clear. One very hapy customer.
