Lisa Lyttle, who took part in our 2015 Scottish Highlands Tour recently sent us photos of her completed project piece, which was brilliantly taught by our regular visiting tutor Meredith Willett during the Tour. These two beautiful interpretations of the original design Phoebe Anne Traquair's 'The Progress of a Soul', which is currently held at The National Museums of Scotland in Edinburgh, were stitched by Lisa and her sister.
Lisa gifted a second 'Phoebe' design to her sister when she returned home to Australia and they worked on them together, albeit many miles apart.
"Obviously they took many hours, both of us using a variety of threads. We live 550 miles apart so message conversations and photos were a real connection. A special project for us both."
We will be returning to the North of Scotland in 2019 during The Scottish Highlands & Islands Tour. Book your place here.
