Her Ladyship's Purse - Coming Soon!
We will soon be welcoming another heart-stopping design to our silk & Goldwork range - Her Ladyship's Purse.
Based on a fascinating 17th century artefact in our collection (shown above) this design was originally interpreted by designer and tutor Zina Kazban for our St Andrews Residential retreat in 2022.
Featuring a range of interesting stitches, including Satin, Long & Short shading, Padded Satin, Seeding, Straight Stitches, Couching, and Bullion Knots, this design features delicate strawberries and beautifully-shaded pansies on glistening silver branches beneath an intricately embroidered arch.
The arch is supported by raised pillars outlined with fine gold covered by a lovely hillock with bouncy silk. Two mirrored pansies grow from the hillock with gorgeously-shaded petals and leaves ringed with fashionable 17th century scrolls.
This design has been in demand ever since and we are thrilled to now be able to release it for general sale!
